In the end, Harvard needed a symbol to show it’s acceptance of marginally qualified intellectuals to demonstrate it’s progress into the new era. The professor gave her ‘brand’ over to Harvard, and they had to accept what followed.

I don’t disagree with the thesis here, but the writer seems to have confused the Enlightenment with the Renaissance, which began centuries earlier.

Its more than that. Apparently Harvard condones plagarism and fraud (even rewards it), and they can't claim ignorance:

‘She Cheated Me’: Ex-Administrator Responds To Harvard President’s Alleged Plagiarism

"During the 16-minute long interview, Swain broke down exactly what happened the night she found out Harvard’s President Gay had allegedly plagiarized her work and went on to a prolific career despite her actions. Swain said she was completely unaware of the alleged similarities until Dec. 17, when a friend and well-known financial expert called her to let her know Gay had allegedly used Swain’s work in published materials as if it were the Harvard president’s own."

She was selected 100% as a DEI hire - she hit all the right DEI check boxes, not just in her person but in her work.

Harvard is 387 years old, established originally to train ministers to preach the gospel.

It is not possible for it to move further from that founding, and with a $50 billion endowment stashed away, doesn’t give a damn who says what.

Claudine Gay was hire to be the resident gargoyle to gush out filth for all the perverts running the college and to terrify children.
