As others posted, the Constitution sets the requirement for who may be President. The states have no say in it.

This will be overturned (and if not think of the chaos that will occur when the various states ban candidates they don’t like).

Remember just a few short years ago when properly investigating Mrs. Clinton was "inappropriate", because she was a Presidential candidate and that would interfere with the election?

My, how time flies and standards change ...

Not true at all. States have always set limits on participation in the general election. Ballot access has always been a thorn. Just look at the dems in Florida in getting in the primary, they were allowed to excluded that dude from Minnesota, via state law.
