Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) vowed Monday to work to block the $14.9 billion sale of U.S. Steel Corp. to Japanese steelmaker Nippon Steel, which he described as an “outrageous” move.
The deal was announced Monday, prompting the stock prices of U.S. Steel to jump up 25 percent. Fetterman criticized the sale, saying in a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, that the move was “wrong for workers and wrong for Pennsylvania.”

Since his stroke, Fetterman Massacre has called for the expulsion of the evil Bob Menendez, sealing the border, and stopping the ChiComs from buying an American steel company.
He’s 3/3 over 90% of the GOP at this point.

A bit late to start blocking this stuff.
Bush allowed EVRAZ to buy Oregon Steel in 2007. So while the US was supposedly against Putin in Georgia, they were allowing a Russian oligarch to buy the USA sole source of ballistic plate.
They finally forced a divestiture in 2022 after the Ukraine invasion.
