I think those pictures were from Tehran city. I’m sure out in the country people were more traditional.

But I do remember a friend of mine in the USAF who married an Iranian woman while stationed there and she was very upset about the Shah dying and how Iran was falling into fundamentalism. She had a lot of pictures from the modern life in Iran that is no more. :-(

I recall the shah and how Iran was an up and coming country and how it went down. So sad to see. Zero screwed over a potential revolution if we intervened the timing was perfect but he sold them out. Probably due to his handler val/jar.
