Mark Cuban’s new mail order Rx company is looking to upset that market.”

I wouldn’t buy a rusty nail from that leftist jerk.

We bought Eliquis from the Canadians. 180 5mg pills was $532.00 delivered to my front door in Central Texas. That was a 90 day supply. So, times 4 Eliquis would cost me on a CASH basis $2,128.00 for a whole year.

I take 5 pills in the morning and 4 at night. With insurance, my total out of pocket, including Eliquis, was $2,875.00 in 2022 or $239.00 per month. I figure that beats being dead.

I think the only way we can figure it all out (Medicare explanations are GREEK) is wait for our ANNUAL statement from HEB. It’s really good and tells you to the penney what you spent on drugs for the year just completed.

Do you know if shipping costs are very much on costplusdrugs?

I used CVS for years. Then when my insurance didn’t cover drugs I tried to use Good RX. CVS refused to honor the Good RX price. They charged me double the good RX price. The next time they tried to do that they lost me as a customer. I went to another pharmacy.

The new pharmacy had the drug for MUCH less than Good RX! Shop around if you’ll be taking that drug for a while. I’ve found that some grocery store chains have the best prices.

Walmart has a lot of drugs for $4—i don’t know if that is a month’s supply or per time you go in.

CVS owns Aetna! You know the large drug store chains are trying to push for a law that makes it so your insurance co only has to deal with chains?

The bill might have died now, because I haven’t seen any ads for it lately....

Indeed. Shop around. Where I’m at, Walgreens and CVS are rapists. Grocery store and Walmart pharmacies are a fraction of Wgs or CVS Rx costs.

I can’t say about CVS. My pharmacy is Kroger and the GoodRx cost for the Oz was virtually the same as via Cigna. ymmv

Another goodRX customer here too. I went to pay for some pain killers and it was the more expensive “copay” than it was just paying cash with their coupons by 7 bucks.

The CVS near me has a disconcerting habit of doubling the shelf price at the cash register. I used to go in there occasionally but always left the merchandise on the counter. In one instance a bottle of Omega 3 fish oil was 18.99 on the shelf (I could have driven a ways and got the same thing for 14.99) It was 37.50 at the cash register. I let the clerk put it ack o the shelf. After that one I have not been back.

After shopping around I found Harris Teeter had the lowest price. I haven’t had to look since but I figure I would Walmart or maybe Costco the next time I need a drug.

I still feel bad about leaving CVS after all those years but they wouldn’t give me GoodRx discount.

Hub is Ret. Navy, so on-base meds are free. The only issue the full range of what is on the formulary is not available, those come from Express Scripts with a copay. Emergency scripts are NOT FIBABLE AT PRIVATE PHARMACIES UNLESS YOU PAY FULL PRICE. Not allowed to use Good RXm voids Tricare Live coverage. Once the DOD makes them OTC you pay the store price + sales tax. 1 42 count Nexium = my new SS Cola Raise.

I did a sample order on something my wife uses and it appeared to be very reasonable.

Agreed. Walgreens took a valid legal prescription and then refused (indefinitely delayed) to fill it. Then they refused to return the prescription back to me. Had to get my doctor involved. I would not care if every Walgreens went out of business.

HCQ? Ivermectin?

Either way, it’s none of their damned business. Unless there are drug interactions in your Rx stack that your doctor may have not understood, they need to stay out of the doctor-patient relationship.
