The Democrat war on gas continues. Now, Democrats propose jailing Washingtonians for using gas-powered landscaping tools like leaf blowers.

State Representative Amy Walen (D-Kirkland) pre-filed legislation that makes sweeping additions to the Washington State Clean Air Act. HB 1868 bans “gasoline-powered and diesel-powered landscaping and other outdoor power equipment” for “contributing to climate change.” The bill lists a number of unintended health consequences tied to the tools, as well, including the claim that they cause asthma.

Violating this law could mean up to 365 days in jail or a significant fine.

Talk in the prison yard:

What you in for son?

Running a leaf blower

Damn that's serious

Would they lock me up until the snow flies and I don’t have to rake my leaves? Sign me up for that.

I’m surprised that someone hasn’t taken a condign second amendment restraint against this idiot. The climate crazies keep pushing even though they’re so far beyond the boundary that separates fact from fiction that they’ll never find their way back from insanity to rationality.

I heard on the radio yesterday that somewhere in NY, if you don’t have a smart meter for electricity at your house, you’re billed an extra $17 per month.

I figure we’ve got at least a million new arrivals right here in California this month, each one with a 300 mph backpack blower blowing tons of dust up into the atmosphere (and onto our cars). Isn’t what our government wants...to block out the sun?

Curious why this libtard did not include chain saws in that list of gas powered tools.

My power company in NY wanted to install a smart meter a few months ago. I refused. They said I could keep the old meter for an extra $12 a month. I have yet to be charged. I’ve wondered how many others have refused.

Meanwhile, in Norway, the woke wizards of smart purchased over 100 EV busses for their public transportation. Then, in an amazing development, it became very cold in Norway. I guess the woke wizards of smart didn’t remember where they live, or they just never left their warm offices. The EV busses were supposed to drive hundreds of miles between charging. The cold has caused many of the busses to not run at all. Those that do run, do not last long.

Next thing you know the woke wizards of smart will subsidize bicycles with snow tires.

Oh, there’s a law for that, too: “Maintaining a Public Nuisance” - ten years for leaves in the yard.

You thought you could escape the long arm of Johnny Law, didn’t you? You can run, but you can’t hide.
