I stopped drinking mass-made and mass-marketed beer when I moved to San Francisco in 1973 and discovered Anchor Steam Beer. I don't know why anybody drinks that AB swill (or any other mass brewer) when you can find great little breweries in your home town.
We had dinner in Spokane, WA last night at the beautifully restored Davenport hotel. They have a great beer on the menu from "No-Li" brewing. The "Born & Raised" IPA was on tap and was very good. Buy local!!
Another great local one is from up the road in Kellogg, ID. "Radio Brewing" makes their "Idaho Sexy" beer. The can artwork is by the woman who co-owns the brewery with her husband.
I live outside Greenville SC, and I too support local craft beers, we have a restaurant here called VOODOO Brewing co. , excellent food a great local beers on tap
