38-year-old woman decides she wants a baby, claims she’s been ‘betrayed by feminism’
NY Post ^ | 12 Dec 2023 | Hannah Grossman

A woman said she felt “betrayed by feminism” after deciding she wanted to settle down, have a family and a husband as she approached 39th birthday. At one point during the interview with Fox News Digital, she broke down crying describing how she feared she would end up alone and childless.

Melissa Persling recently wrote an essay for Business Insider titled, “I’m 38 and single, and I recently realized I want a child. I’m terrified I’ve missed my opportunity.” She said after it went viral in November, hate began to pour in from men telling her that she’s lived a selfish life. Persling has a much different account of her story.

When Persling was 22, she married a traditional man and moved to a rural community in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where she grew up.

“He wanted a simple life with children and home-cooked meals,” she said. However, Persling – despite coming from a religious Christian background – made it clear to her husband-to-be that she did not want children.

“At that time I felt very strongly I did not want children, that I wasn’t going to be like the traditional housewife. I knew I did want to pursue a career,” she told Fox News Digital in an interview. “And I felt very strongly that that would never change. And I guess I was wrong.”

Persling said both her and her ex thought that love could conquer everything, but after 10 years, it was clear their differences in life goals were irreconcilable. Persling said she became resentful when he would ask for dinner or for his laundry to be done.

“I did little to hide my disdain for our small-town life. He was a good and hardworking man, but I don’t think I made him feel that way,” she said.

I know that’s not what society tells them (Femists anyway)...

It's not just feminists. Many conservative fathers tell daughters, "Get a career before you get married, so you'll have something to fall back on in case of divorce."

Lots of conservative dads brag about their daughters being in the military, or being cops, or some other grueling job meant for men. "My little girl can lick the pants off of any guy in her platoon, heh, heh."

I can’t even hold a casual conversation with most women under the age or 30... so many of them are just mentally deranged.

Social media has destroyed women even more thoroughly than porn or video games have destroyed men.

I made a deal with my husband when we started our lives together. He would cook one week & I would cook the next. We were both working full time.

He asked if he could make TV dinners his week and I said fine. Whatever you want to eat you can cook. It only took a couple of weeks before he was cooking real meals because he was getting hooked on better food. We eventually had 4 kids and used to cook 3-4 things on the weekends to eat over the week with simple things cooked to supplement. Pat developed into a fantastic cook and he enjoyed the process. We cooked many dinners for >20 people at holidays and did the cooking for the judges at our clubs gymnastic meet, 6 meals for 20+ over three days.

We did it all as a team, never measuring what share of the work each had, each doing everything we could to further the effort and assuming that the other was doing the same.

“corporate leaders wanted women to leave the home and join society was because they represented a HUGE, CHEAP, labor force”

Which gave corporate leaders the impetus to lower men’s salaries, so families no longer can afford to have stay-at-home mothers in a middle-class environment. It was a dreadful movement.

It’s probably a very busy aisle these days

I’d call you but I think your number was in my other phone which crashed - hard

It can’t even be booted with emergency start-up

Unless you want to FReepmail it to me - I’ll have a bit of time later this week (Thursday on)

My husband is a better house keeper than I am. I’m a better cook. He’s better at figures and finance. I’m better at technology. We divide and conquer.

She's better looking than I thought. Her eggs are probably old. 50% chance she can't get pregnant without medical treatment.

Now she’ll lead the rest of her life childless, husbandless, alone and bitter.

She can always join a convent and serve the Lord and community as a nun. She won't be alone. Her life will be full of people and even children, meaningful work and spiritual fulfillment.

She looks like she’s midway through her 40th year fat-explosion. Had she been super hot, I might have stepped up to donate my potent and voluminous seed.

As long as there is a Laz, she has hope...

I also believe those laws were set up and synchronized nationwide as a wealth transfer scheme. It was very successful. Not only did it destroy the nuclear family, it was an incredibly effective way of transferring wealth to women.

Time to reform divorce laws. We should make section 8 housing available for divorced women and their children. And food stamps. But we shouldn't penalize men.

Otherwise, less men will decide to get married. And our birth rate will continue to drop.

Two of those pathetic bipeds appear to be male ...

Good Heavens, people! Put the pup on a leash and let it walk. It wants to.

And point of order: It’s your “pet”. It’s not your “baby”. Your “baby”, if you have/had one, is of the same species as you. Don’t get the two things confused.
