This is just like the bum on the corner begging for money. There is zero chance that money is actually going to go towards food and shelter (what it is supposedly intended for) and will go straight to drugs and alcohol. That’s why I have only given a bit of food every now and then.

Actually, very little of the aid to Ukraine is in the form of ‘direct dollars’; it’s either ‘loan’ money to purchase antiquated US military equipment (ie, circa 1961 troop carriers) or money that goes to other European countries to purchase old Soviet weapons - that money then (by agreement) flows back to the US through the purchase of NEW US made equipment to backfill the old Soviet era equipment given to Ukraine.

In the first case above, some Ukraine dollars go to the US defense industry to purchase more modern equipment.

Yes, some of the equipment is newer (ie Patriot missile batteries, Abrams (?) tanks) but MOST is in the form I described above.
