Saying antisemitic things (without violence) is free speech.
Denying a customer access to a restroom because of race, national origin, etc. has to be a crime. Imagine if the same were done to a black woman.
This Jewish lady should not let this go. File a police report, and a lawsuit.
An addition to my post #28. The restaurant workers’ “private property” claim holds no water. 60 years ago, black folks were denied service at some restaurants simply because they were black.
That is now illegal. What happened to that Jewish woman falls in the same category.
From personal experience I will add this: there are people in this world who NEED access to a public restroom on a moment’s notice. To deny her, or anyone access to a public bathroom in itself is a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, amended in 2009.
Ashkenazi Jews have a higher percentage of having IBD than most people.
I don’t know if she was Ashkenazi, but denying her access out of spite was wrong. I would’ve fired them on the spot.
All that Holacaust stuff jammed down students throats, all the holocause Movies, all the replays of the awful black and white movies of Nazi Death Camps, The Holocause museums—seems to have been in vain. For a time no movie or book on WW II had to have a big section on Jews and the camps to the point where it seemed the whole war was over Jews. The hate is still just under the surface and can rise up, like Dracula from his grave. It is sad that this has to flair up, here of all places.
