And I went to look at Florida’s population. Which is 22,244,823. With a registration of 13,553,283, 8,691,540 are not registered. Even accounting for 20% of the population being under 18, that is 4,242,575 that are not registered.
I had to move out of Sarasota when my rent went from 2200 a month to 3600 a month. I looked in the panhandle, but had friends around the Fort Myers area. Ian hit and kept growth down here, but I see it becoming like Sarasota. So it will relocation again, into the panhandle or north central fl. Floridian since 1961.
Ron’s campaign has been a disaster. It is as if he had a list of things that would lose him support with the base and worked his way through it. He is probably the best Governor in the country but as a national candidate he just does not seem ready.
Because Ken Griffin of Citadel Capital, who moved from HELLINOIS to Florida and has a failed history of bankrolling candidates here, thought he could do better in Florida with Desantis.
Griffin was one of the biggest donors to Desantis and he moved Citadel Capital to Miami from Chicago to do exactly what he's doing/did with Desantis.
BTW I'm in agreement that Desantis should've sat this one out and waited until 2028. He screwed the pooch for any Presidential ambitions at this point.
