McCarthy could have chosen to simply serve out his current term.
What is so personally urgent that he would risk giving control over federal legislation to Democrats?

McLeavin’ is not that creative, unless I’m missing something.
I would have preferred he state that he was disappointed and had wished he would have kept his promise to voters for once and served out his full term like his voters expected.

Special election. By memory, here in CA, needs to be held within 100 days or so.
And also, Gaetz is an a-hole.
Is it really not possible any more to be gracious. Was this really too hard: “While Speaker McCarthy and I had many disagreements, and while I think it’s time that our party must go in a pre conservative direction with which he was out of step with which he was out of step, I wish

Will there be a special election? It’s Ca so we would probably do better if there is not. The rats will steal the hell out of any election and turn it into a flipped seat. With Johnson leaving a flip might give the rats the House -catastrophe.

You have to clear out the enemy wearing your uniform while standing in the shadows at your back *before* you can make any meaningful advancement on the battlefield in front of you. This type of cleaning-out our ranks is long overdue. Glad he is going. Focus on filling seats (not just his, but everyone's) with God Fearing Christian Conservative Constitutional Patriots.
