Many media outlets such as the Washington Post, LA Times, NBC among many others are owned, controlled and subsidized by liberal, leftist billionaire individuals and families. They use them to project their power, interests and politics. Most of these people have the primordial fear that one day they will be held accountable by the outraged people and that their commitment and support of the Left will protect and preserve them. They are as hopelessly wrong as were the pompous upper class Russian elites who supported the revolution. They were among the first to be liquidated.

ā€œIā€™m worth a living wage, Iā€™m worth raises that keep up with inflation. Iā€™m worth equal pay to my colleagues, regardless of my race or gender. Iā€™m worth job protections that value my years of service,ā€ multiple employees are seen saying in the video.

Sooooooo... how much are they paid? Betcha it's more than the average Amazon employee.

(I would sign a petition that WaPo writers are worthless, if someone starts one)

They make plenty of money since they are paid by the lie.

“industrial action”

I think that is a British term.

One day strikes are common in Italy.

The ledgers say you’re not even worth what you’re getting.

Thank God Bezos has an ego.

24 hour walk out? Talk about a futile gesture. It would be more effective if they held their breath until they turned blue.

Thereā€™s hope out there.

Elsewhere it is reported:
The walkout comes as the Post is anticipating a loss of around $100 million in 2023.

Two individuals familiar with the Postā€™s finances reportedly told The New York Times in July that the outlet plans to eliminate roughly 240 jobs.
If the average salary and benefits for those 240 jobs is $200K, that's only $48M saved. Maybe some upper management jobs will be be eliminated to bring the savings closer to $100M. But the Compost should be prepared for an even greater annual losses in the coming years.
