It's his inferiority complex (he was a construction worker, building roofs, you know...)
He loads up his questions with his guest's answers so that everyone knows how smart he is, which leaves the guest with nothing else to say but "that's right." If they expand beyond that, Hannity cuts them off and asks his next loaded question.
