Even if dictator Trump could usher in a new era of American prosperity (a big if, given that his first term finished with a $1 trillion deficit, an unfinished border wall, and government bureaucrats pushing a lethal vaccine on the American people without consequences), who could we trust with those powers after Trump dies? I'm sticking with the Constitution and the sort of small-r republican government favored by the Founding Fathers.
