Runway there is 7721 feet long. PLENTY long to land a 737, which is what the P-8 is based on.

Whidbey Island has 2- 7,700 foot crosswind runways. I did extensive engineering review of the pavements there back in the 90’s. The EA6 crews took off and landed on half the length of the runways. The old P-3’s used not much more than that.
By comparison, When I worked at Klamath Falls Airport, the Oregon Air Guard used practically every inch of the 10,300 foot runway to conduct F-15 flight ops.
