RE: Falling
Declare Psalm 91 over yourself. Angels will keep you from falling.
My 90+ mother fell backwards once and her caretaker said she ‘floated’ slowly to the floor and landed in a position that let she and my Dad pull her up. (She had two hip replacements).
My sister fell on ice and made herself get up, because there was no one to help her. She said it was painful to walk down the stairs, then the pain faded away. Later she found out on an X-ray that she had broken her leg, and it knitted itself back together perfectly.
Thanks for the head’s up; means we shall have to have an earlier dinner.
O-M-G...no, I don’t know about that one. But in exchange, I’ll tell you about the highly objectionable Miller directed one; it’s an historic story! LOL
That was loooooooooooooooooooooong ago and now, IF I fall ( and I have ), getting up is almost impossible.
First of all, the orchestra and vocals were decent. BUT the costumes were the worst I have ever seen...everything from torn jeans, suitcoats and ties over kimonos, cutaway with tails, and the Mikado’s outfit looked like it was designed by HUGO BOSS (of Gestapo Uniform fame). Not to mention that the schoolgirls had blue, purple, and pink wigs.
The dancing was clumsy and over-the-top silly, and they cut out important songs and changed the words of others, as if they didn’t trust the audience to understand Gilbert’s lyrics. The ENTIRE “Little List” song was changed, they laft out Katisha’s “Hour of Gladness” song, which, in my opinion is very important to her character, showing that she does indeed have a heart that can be broken.
You know...little stuff like that.
And the naughty tricks with the Samurai swords...eek.

Howdy, neighbor!
Did you just get into town?
HELLO my FRiend! (and Neighbor)
Yes... getting tires on my truck for the upcoming road trip back to AZ. Woot! Woot!
God speed on your road trip home.
Looking forward to seeing you on the Rally threads.
Off-topic...
As Sundance remarked - the Desantis / Newsom jaw-jacking thing was tedious. FOX (Murdoch) was so invested in the attempt to present an alternative to Trump that the transparency was nauseating. Then, the next 24-48 hours of FOX was nonstop regurgitation of the grade school girl fight. Sean Hannity is becoming more and more embarrassing and approaching sad clown status.
Thank YOU!
Oh the HORROR!
Quite a while ago, when we were living in Chicago, Miller was bringing his version of THE MIKADO tho the Chicago Opera House. They have a policy, that once you buy tickets, they are yours; NO REFUNDS, NO EXCEPTIONS, NOT EVER!
When I purchased tickets, I had NO idea that this was to be Miller's version. Then I read all about it and had a fit! I called and asked for my money back, because I had bought them under false pretenses.
They gave me a HUGE run-around, which I was NOT going to accept, since the performance was still months away.
And I threatened to show up and make a scene ( which you bet I would have done! ); so long story short...I am the ONLY person to EVER get a refund. LOL
Miller had them all dressing in modern clothes, it's set in a Toyota plant and showroom, and yes, he changed words and bits and you name it. But what you described sounds even worse.
And bet no “broken toe” bit for Koko either. :-(
Nope. No “Broken Toe” bit.
