There are 1,000 Russian soldiers in Moldova right now among other things supervising old munitions from the Cold War stored there.

Translation: They are supervising the cannibalization of equipment, the draining-out of oil from motor vehicles for sale on the Black Market, the extraction of radiator anti-freeze for "enhancing" moonshine; the sale of ammunition...

Those "munitions" have been rotting away for the past three decades. I wonder in what condition they are.

To be fair I’m shooting some Russian 7.62 X 54r that was manufactured in the 1960s. It was probably dug up from a Bulgarian potato field before it was shipped here. It’s all still gone bang when I wanted it to.
