You still have the lines, the luggage limits, random cancellations, the security and so on. No, I will not say I will never fly again, but it would have to be for a very good reason and at my age I don’t see that happening.

Understood. Two months ago wife and I flew Dulles to Vienna, and Vienna to Rome and the reverse back to Dulles. Long and tedious for all the reasons you’ve cited. But to do the trip we planned, it had to be done. We envied the passengers in 1st class, but did not want to pay the exorbitant ticket price to join them.
