Newsom may be the last minute substitute for Biden, or more possibly Michelle Obama. You can only do so much with cheating. A ten point gap between Biden and Trump will require more over the top cheating than in 2020. If the real Republican-Democrat split is 49-42, plus RFK, Jr., Jill Stein, et. al., collectively winning an additional 9 points, then you have to do very blatant voter fraud. At this point, the Democrats still have to show the appearance of democracy.

The Democrats have to get the popular vote in the six or seven contested states within 2 or 3 percentage points to permit the cheating in Atlanta, Milwaukee, Las Vegas, etc., to succeed. It is possible that the Democrats may go centrist and choose Joe Manchin as their Presidential nominee at the last minute and possibly a Hispanic female such as New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham as the Vice Presidential nominee.

Manchin would love that, his dream come true!
However, an old straight white guy (He’s 76!) at the top of the ticket from a state he won’t even carry, I doubt it.
I don’t think pairing him a minority, racial, sexual or interplanetary will matter. If they make any change, they will find a way to go with Newsom and Buttgiggily. Maybe stick with Biden and go with Buttgiggily.
