Three debates for next year’s presidential general election are set to be held in college towns in Texas, Virginia and Utah between Sept. 16 and Oct. 9 — though it remains to be seen whether either party’s candidate will actually participate.
The nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Debates announced Monday that presidential candidates will first be scheduled to meet Sept. 16 at Texas State University in San Marcos, south of Austin. The vice presidential debate is scheduled nine days later at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania.
Presidential debates planned for Virginia State University in Petersburg on Oct. 1, and the University of Utah in Salt Lake City on Oct. 9, round out the schedule, less than a month before Election Day on Nov. 5.

Nonpartisan my ass.
They’re UNIPARTY all the way! These crapstains couldn’t put together a fair, illuminating debate if their lives depended on it.
Anyway, what’s to debate? TRUMP 2024!

Ha.
Nobody has taken up my idea a few months ago of three 40 person “debates on debates” in which potential candidates would debate the ins and outs of the later real debates for 6 hours each set in pre-debate runoffs on 4 networks. Followed by the real debates.
Sort of like the Catholic Synod on Synodality. /S

Ha-ha! Our daughter is into debating. Her last one was should her private High School have a Coca Cola-Automaten. She debated on the side for it and got excellent feedback. Training in debates is a good skill to have.

There will be a debate. Robert Kennedy Jr. will debate the Mental Therapist Lady and the "Wild Man from Borneo".

I wish her the best. I hear some debaters end up in law or politics.
But with
“If you…– enjoy arguing about current political, social and cultural issues”
she could be tempted to start posting on Free Republic.
Try to guide her on a good course.

Thanks but Free Republic would need to be restructured to real debating standards for that.

I resemble that remark. 😉

fjb will/would lie like 2020 and the “moderators” would swear to it.

Who would moderate them - the usual collection of Leftists? If so, there’s no point in having them. We don’t need any more Candy Crowley’s trying to insert themselves into the debate.

Hope your daughter grows up to be a conservative; we can use people with that particular skill.

There is no need to debate. The debate is happening daily. The pain, agony and lack of justice are NOT debatable!
There is no need for a general election! Only a fool would vote for a democrat!

I would lean back!’ Then and find the average Americans to ask the questions. Let’s get a real pulse and have the candidates answer the direct questions of Americans.

PDJT will not fall for the “debate” B.S. this election cycle.

Let us hope Trump refuses to participate in a leftward slanted, rigged debate, as every GOP general election presidential candidate has done for decades.
My idea of a fair debate is each candidate gets to select one moderator. The moderators would get to ask questions of all candidates. I would love to see someone like Tucker Carlson asking the Dem candidate questions. That is one debate I would definitely be interested in watching.
