BENICIA, Calif. - A person allegedly driving in a stolen car in the early hours after the Thanksgiving holiday was caught in a creative attempt at faking a license plate, according to a post from the Benicia Police Department.
Around 1 a.m. on Friday, an officer patrolling East 2nd Street saw a silver Kia with a "beautifully handwritten" license plate. Police say they checked the vehicle out and determined that it was stolen out of Alameda.

Creative criminal just not too bright.
The tilted “6” is the giveaway, including the black tape around the sign.
When I was a kid I heard about a guy who repainted his plates. It worked until he got rear ended by a cop.
His handmade plate identified as a real plate, so it’s ok.
Change the G to an H....you know to stay current.
“”His handmade plate identified as a real plate, so it’s ok.””
My thoughts exactly. In this day and age of the mental disorder that is liberalism, there seems to be no limit. If I were to excavate a skeleton, and use the pelvis as determinative, declare the skeleton female, the current academia would shout from the rooftops that I am a hateful relic of the past.
So.....not just identify the license plate. My car now identifies as registered, forever. I identify as handicapped when I want one of those primo parking spots marked in blue right in front of my building.
My buddy had his plates stolen, so he just put up a similar hand made plate in his rear window with the correct number, along with a sign saying his real plates had been stolen. He said the cops stopped him several times over the weeks before his new plates came in. They always let him go, but it took a long time to check on all of his papers.
Yes- but better than average. I would give a score of 8.4
Looks totally legit to me 😂🥴🤣😆😀
👍👍👍
I’ve never seen a guy have such a great character but never do anything else that worked (what little I saw of him)
