DeSantis could have earned a spot as a back-up/2028 nominee, but he picked the wrong allies and is the wrong guy for the national level right now. I think what would be a more honest portrayal of this issue would be Trump upset with major Christian evangelical supporters of Ted Cruz, than Trump being upset with “Christian evangelicals”.
