I looked up the battery replacement and it is $2,000 to $8,000. This is for a far smaller battery then full electric.

Stay with gas powered only!!

thx. those prices are what i’ve seen as well. and agreed, stay with IC as long as you can.

that being said, i did inherit a toyota camry hybrid, though, and it has been reliable so far. about 110K and i haven’t had to work on the battery yet.

Scotty LOVES the Elantra Hybrid!

Batteries should last more than 200k mile. Savings in oil changes alone pays for another battery.
