We must keep backing Ukraine to counter Russia, China and Iran’s push for global chaos
NY Post ^ | NY Post

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has it fundamentally right: The war Vladimir Putin launched in February 2022 is part of a global struggle that will only grow unless the West wakes up.

Putin’s goal is to challenge NATO supremacy, to rebuild the Soviet empire of old.

Vlad already is busy fracturing the alliance, and undermining NATO members on his doorsteps (he’s slamming Finland with a new wave of “asylum seekers” from the Mideast, for instance).

The three support each other not just materially (Chinese supplies and Iranian drones to Russia; Russian and Iranian oil to China, etc.), but also cooperate in diplomacy, propaganda and even in covert cyber-attacks.

Indeed, if Putin can get any kind of peace in Ukraine (say, the ceasefire in place that some in the West long for), he may well put the freed-up resources into backing his allies (say, more artillery and rockets for Iran’s “axis of resistance” to launch at US bases across the Mideast) rather than any all-out offensive on his own borders.

Bravo Sierra.

Lets get our own house here in the USA in order.

The NY Post must be aware they even gaslight the issue of the chaos on the US southern border from time to time.

Well let’s get the money on the southern border of the USA instead of Ukraine for example.

The corruption of Ukraine who’s getting their cut at the NY Post?

“I would rather disagree with a case [President Obama] made on American exceptionalism, stating that the United States’ policy is “what makes America different.

It’s what makes us exceptional.”

It is extremely dangerous to encourage people to see themselves as exceptional, whatever the motivation.”

Putin.

Now that the graft and equipment gravy train to Ukraine has been derailed, when will the Soviet Red Menace roll into the Baltic States as promised?

Zlensky’s been singing that tune from the get go of ‘his’ war. If he can’t declare it a world event the world must stop then he’ll loose the revenue flow he covets and he well knows this.

Zelensky thinks if he sacrifices Crimea and Donbass the war will end. I think he’s greatly mistaken - though at on time that may have ben possible. It’s too late now.

A lot of mind reading going on, as has been so for a long time regarding Putin.

I thought there was no doubt out there that Putin was less extreme in nationalism than the possible replacements.

What Russia has is oil and gas. Number 1 gas reserves on the planet. #2 is Iran. There isn’t anything anyone can do about this. Theirs will last longer than everyone else’s.

This stuff is like air. You HAVE to have it to plant food and move it to shelves. When they still have it and NATO Supremacy does not, what happens then. After you have spent years imposing sanctions.

The article starts with:
"Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has it fundamentally right: The war Vladimir Putin launched in February 2022 is part of a global struggle that will only grow unless the West wakes up."

"Putin's goal is to challenge NATO supremacy, to rebuild the Soviet empire of old."

And ends with:
Any kind of victory for Putin is a win for all the forces seeking global chaos: If the West doesn't stand firm in this small war, it'll soon be seeing bigger ones.
From start to finish it spells out exactly why the US and Europe are backing Ukraine. Putin wants a new Soviet empire. China and Iran are taking advantage of it. Its either stand up to Russia now or wish we did later.

Just finished watching ‘Redacted’s reported on the Ukraine.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Kd_PCixAh4

The Ukrainians are conscripting 54 year old women. The Russians are now taking over prior Ukrainian trenches post battle and finding dead female soldiers. Lots of pressure for the Ukraine to surrender, calling it ‘negotiations’, but the only thing keeping those in the Ukrainian government/Azov military guilty of war crimes from ‘justice’ (is that execution) is continued fighting. WHen the Ukraine surrenders, Putin will act against them and so they’d prefer to keep the fighting propped up. That last 100 million dollars Biden sent included one Himar, just one. I had read elsewhere that it costs 100 million per day of fighting, so the last dispatch of money Brandon ‘gifted’ that filthy smoking crater full of dead conscripts only paid for one more day of pointless fighting.

There's nothing left of the proxy war to support. The Ukraine is running out of warm bodies to conscript.

...Stand up to Putin... blah, blah, blah

So when is th USA and the EU going to step up and start producing artillery ammunition ?

It’s not the Manhattan Project, but it is taking even longer.

All we get is talk and promises from these clowns. And then they miss their deadlines and committments.

I think it’s too late for that. If what we’ve got now isn’t “global chaos”, what the hell is it?

trust me, there are plenty of healthy young men available for conscription.

any women in the army volunteered.v

You live there, you lie about it, and therefore you keep the senseless killing going. Oh and you don't know anything at all about Zelensky's latest plans to conscript women up to 54 years of age, do you? Nah, you never heard of THAT.
