China's People's Liberation Army - Navy ship "Longushan" is reportedly ablaze just off the coast of China tonight. The vessel is reported to be "China's most advanced warship."
No OFFICIAL word on what caused the fire. I am not sure if China has acknowledged the fire yet ...
All mention of this is being rapidly scrubbed from China social media networks, and no official information is coming out of Beijing.
The vessel bears Hull Number 980 and is described as a Type 071 landing ship.
China's fifth Type 071 amphibious transport dock (LPD) Longhushan; with hull number 980) was commissioned with the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN or Chinese Navy) on September 12, 2018 in Shanghai.
Originally designed after the Taiwan Strait crisis in 1996, the Type 071, measuring 210 meters long and 28 meters wide, is capable of carrying an 800-man marine battalion and some 20 amphibious tanks.

Cheap locally sourced GPUs in stolen designed analytics boxes overclocked, overheated, then Oh Xi! Wi Too Hot!
Mr. GG2 told me about it at lunch. My first reaction was maybe they made a move on Taiwan and got a bloody nose. But more likely their crappy engineering and construction failed. Their aircraft carrier caught on fire too.
I used to wonder if the chinese actually used the same crappy tools and parts that they were pawning off onto us. Then I watched videos of their “ghost cities” that were falling apart even before they were occupied and got my answer.
LOLOL!!! Now that is a GREAT association, LL. You cracked me up!
That’s a shame.
“... now those drills have been replaced by BLM Lectures and Drag Queen shows...”
Source?
Yeah, figured
Perhaps it’s a battery fire.
Confucius say, all Chinese ships are junk.
Tofu Dreg warship construction.
Or internal sabotage.
It’s not a bug it’s a feature. It’s winter now and sailors gotta keep warm.
Imagine those 800 hot, horny, smoked Chinese warriors swimming ashore and finding those hot Thai women.
This is a typical naval smoke screen.

They also call it a transport “dock”. Perhaps it would be used after the beach has been taken. Although a drone or cruise missile could take it out later.
Thinking of Normandy and the use of all of those small LC at the beginning - that sure makes sense after your statement of losing one big ship. I wonder how much of Germany’s airforce made an impact after we had taken control of the beaches. I don’t recall hearing much about it after we took them.
EV tanks?
