Kids spending almost all their time on chrome books are also being damaged in their small motor coordination development by typing everything and not hand writing.

NY Times says school COVID closures may be ‘most damaging disruption’ to kids’ education in U.S. history Well, duh!
One could make the argument that the 'most damaging disruption' to kid's education was instituting the NEA. Covid school closures might not have even happened without their existence.

Nonsense.
The worst thing to happen to American education was John Dewey.

No. Not even close to the teachers unions forced Marxist education on our children.

Even worse in my opinion is they are watching videos teaching the lesson rather than reading and processing ideas in their minds. And yes, most of them have a lot of trouble actually writing legibly—and having taught for many years I can read pretty terrible handwriting.

"the COVID-19 pandemic "may prove to be the most damaging disruption in the history of American education."" The Chinese Communist Central Party are celebrating their "mission accomplished," for the success of their bio-engineered COVID virus. This is what happens when they steal American technology.

we had freepers pushing for lockdowns and all I can say is it was a ME ME ME mantra.....they didn't care about the children, they didn't care about small businesses....they didn't care about the economy...or family life....
they just didn't care and because for any number of reasons...they were millionaires already, they had no children, they were going to get paid whether they went into work or not, and they weren't the ones forced to GO to work....they looked out only for themselves.

In this respect COVID was a blessing keeping kids away from these classrooms
To: Secret Agent Man
That’s too simplistic. It isn’t the gap in schooling. It’s the loss of learning discipline and the acquisition of destructive habits. It happened to my sons. The lack of structure alone has been the worst part.
