Colorado District Court Judge Sarah Wallace, a left-wing jurist who contributed to an radical organization that has worked to prevent Republicans connected to January 6th from running for election, has ruled that the “insurrection clause” of the 14th Amendment does not apply to the President of the United States. Therefore former President Trump cannot be barred from appearing on the 2024 presidential ballot. Judge Wallace wrote in her ruling:
To lump the Presidency in with any other civil or military office is odd indeed and very troubling to the Court because as Intervenors point out, Section Three explicitly lists all federal elected positions except the President and Vice President. Under traditional rules of statutory construction, when a list includes specific positions but then fails to include others, courts assume the exclusion was intentional… The Court holds that it is unpersuaded that the drafters intended to include the highest office in the Country in the catchall phrase ‘office . . . under the United States.’
TRUMP WINS... Get used to that!
“The Court holds that it is unpersuaded that the drafters intended to include the highest office in the Country in the catchall phrase ‘office . . . under the United States.’”
Wouldn’t EVERYONE be included in “under the United States” then?
Faith in the courts restored jus a little bit.
Not if the voter fraud machine is still going strong. Don’t think for a moment there won’t be any come Election Day.
It is my sincere prayer that when he wins in Nov 2024 that he shows NO MERCY to the godless who now run this country.
Judge said Trump did commit insurrection (which is ludicrous).
Said he could be kept off the ballot in the general.
It’s all corrupt garbage.
Speaking of Voter Fraud, how would California have been if it didn’t exist?
Current score 0-4 ???
Of what "insurrection" charges was Mr. Trump convicted? It what court of law did this occur?
The judge's comments are defamatory. Can a judge be prosecuted/sued for defamation?
They won’t give up. USSC will have do get up and do some work.
There WAS a trial over January 6th. It was the second Pelosi impeachment, which was the indictment.
The trial in the Senate found him NOT guilty.
The Supreme Court is a joke of an institution. What does Trump have to spend money on this crap in every blue state in the nation?
Question to all here.
Is this going to be attempted and litigated in every state prior to 2024?
Are some Blue states holding back on timing, knowing they’ll lose but hoping to use the lawfare process is the punishment to disrupt President Trumps ability to appear smoothly on every states ballot?
Winning in Nov 2024 will not get you the instant gratification you seek.
He will have to lay low, make noises about a distinguished transition team and candidates for cabinet positions. He’ll have some meetings with Congressional leaders.
It will all be very low key until he is sworn in — defusing rage that might try some maneuver to prevent that swearing in. Making noises about bipartisan focus to get things done for the American people.
Then once sworn in, it will be clear there have been no cabinet nominees and no transition team beyond his VP — who will of course have zero connection to The Party and The Swamp in general.
People will be brought in to lead departments and briefed on how to get past Senate confirmation. Or maybe he will select some from the Party and get them confirmed. Then fire them immediately and appoint an interim cabinet.
Without question, the #1 thing done will be exactly what all new presidents do. Ask for the resignations of all US Attorneys. This is standard procedure. Perhaps done under the cover of having selected a Swamp filth figure as Attorney General. Get him confirmed. Fire him the next day. Appoint an interim.
Then the process of going after these people must be done carefully. They must be bumped into in an airport after leaving office. Then sued, or prosecuted for assault. You cannot go after them for actions they took in office. That scenario gets their legal fees covered by the govt.
So . . . you will get no instant gratification. It will take time, and a careful strategy, but in the end the world will know that these people will have their lives destroyed.
I hope the release of the J6 videos will put an end to the claims that what happened at the Capitol was an insurrection.
Videos showing the Capitol Police standing around, the people respecting rope lines, the police opening doors for people, should show that it was not an insurrection because the LEOs could have put a stop to it at any time.
Post the Nelson “HaHa!” picture here!
We never get tired of all this winning.
Still not tired of “Winning!”
“ Of what “insurrection” charges was Mr. Trump convicted? It what court of law did this occur?”
Judge is making it up.
Full on corruption.
