Valid point but in McCarthy’s case he reneged on more than one promise so it was easy to convince him to suppress the tapes. He’s a Swamp rat.

Apparently Fox had some legal handcuffs on Carlson. Whether the deep state had some blackmail material on McCarthy, or he was just politically squishy by nature, I don't know.

Johnson seems to be holding up fairly well, but I expect some posters here to attack him eventually. He has a tiny majority (sometimes) in one house of congress.
