He is an imbecile, yet tries to speak about Constitutional issues of which he has absolutely no idea and make people think he has authority.

I grew up my entire life hearing “Respect the office even if you don’t respect the man.”

No longer. Tyrants like him who wish to control my life and impinge on my Constitutional freedoms surrender any right to respect because he holds an “office”.

“Someone seems nervous” that Trump might win.

This argument is so absurd- Someone is an insurrectionist if someone else says they are? There doesn't need to be an objective determination other than the words of political opponents? If that was the case, then every person would be disqualified. Biden could be called an insurrectionist when he aided and assisted those at the southern border to be overrun by foreigners.

See how easy that is?

You got to the heart of what Raskin is saying. Like most Leftists, its only said for the convenience of the objective of the moment.

But that path eventually leads to a "might makes right" scenario.

Our side keeps making fun of the Rats, saying they are crazy and don’t know what they are doing. The rats are always on offense, and are pushing their agenda ever onward. They are winning, and no amount of finger pointing and memes is going to stop them, and they know it.

Raskin is a few cards short of full deck.

I would feel sorry for him, but he has such a nasty way about him.

If Trump is really as bad as they say then the voters would not possibly elect him, right? They do seem awfully worried about him being on the ballot. Let the voters decide.

He is right on one level. Confederate officers and government officials were not ‘convicted’ of anything and did lose the right to hold office. But it was public record that they had been a part of a rebellion against the United States, to whose Constitution they had previously sworn an oath.

Problem with his argument, how can anyone call what happened for hours on January 6, an ‘insurrection’ compared to the four years of the Civil War? It’s absurd.

Of course the Founding Fathers assumed the officials bringing the accusations were not insurrectionists themselves,
busily fabricating phony charges to aid their rigging and stealing of elections and overthrowing the Constitution.

Which is the exact situation we presently have going on with the insanely feral democrats.

57 to 43 vote in the Senate means he was found NOT GUILTY.

I think to the contrary, even a criminal conviction would NOT disqualify him. It would be precedent setting, but he could theoretically run and govern from prison.

We Democrats do not find absurdity to be a problem if it suits our desires. You racist!

You are right of course. A party whose members, under oath, can state that humans other than women can give birth obviously holds absurdity in high regard.
