The visits are stressful, as he hub has end stage alzheimers and is in really tough shape. And he’s only 61. Was director of music at a big church, and beloved in the community, but got assigned to a nursing home so far away.
We make a day of it, go to a restaurant, visit, sing songs to him, and then maybe a little shopping. We hit the turnpike usually right around Rush Hour, which in Boston is 24/7.
