Huntington Beach is also fighting the state, Gavin Newsom and AG Ron Bonta as well - after...

“The state wants Huntington Beach to adopt zoning that would allow developers to build 13,368 new housing units over the next eight years, almost 6,000 of which must be low- or very-low-income housing.”

Unfortunately, yesterday:

“Federal judge dismisses Huntington Beach’s lawsuit against state over housing mandates

City Attorney Michael Gates said the city will appeal the new decision to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.”

And, from Newsom himself:

“The leaders of Huntington Beach refuse to build their fair share of housing and are flagrantly breaking state law.

These actions are selfish and make our homeless crisis worse.

The city has tried these antics before. They lost then and they will lose now.”

Newsom, after all, believes the homeless crises is caused by a lack of housing.

The low-income housing Newsom is demanding HB to build will all go to ‘migrants’ and ‘asylum-seekers’ and will, of course, do nothing to help the current homeless. After all, these new residents have to live somewhere.

Huntington Beach ‘selfishly’ wants to keep some semblance of a civilized community, rejecting all of the blessings that that Diversity brings.
