I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video I will tell you what happened on the six hundred twenty seventh day of the war.
Day 627: Nov 12 Today, there are a lot of updates from the Vuhledar direction. Here, Russian forces conducted a series of unexpected powerful attacks between Mykilske and Novomykhailivka, engaging dozens of tanks and armored fighting vehicles. The goal of these attacks was to eliminate the Ukrainian bridgehead. The reason behind the choice of these particular vectors of attack is twofold. First of all, the Ukrainian bridgehead is located on the tactical heights, making it difficult to attack directly. And secondly, these fields are densely mined and due to the lack of activity in the area, Russians do not have a good map of mines. In contrast, the activity around Vuhledar and Novomykhailivka was quite high over the last year, giving Russians at least some level of certainty as to where to move and what to expect.
The first attack took place northeast of Mykilske. The objective of the Russian assault unit was to push Ukrainians out of the proximate tree lines, establish control over the fields, and move closer to the road. Unfortunately for Russians, Mykilske is too small and too close to the front line to hide significant amounts of forces, which is why the assault unit was sent from the south and had to travel through the open fields. Ukrainian reconnaissance drone operators detected a huge Russian column in advance, and thanks to the rapid response by the fighters from the seventy-second mechanized brigade, Russians lost the element of surprise and started incurring losses before they even passed Mykilske.
Geolocated footage shows that Ukrainians destroyed the third vehicle from the head of the column, immobilizing the remaining vehicles behind it. One vehicle even turned around and started moving back to the settlement. However, Ukrainian fighters did not allow them to leave the battleground and they were destroyed with artillery. Two vehicles from the head realized that they were moving alone into the field, turned around, and started fleeing as well. The video also shows that an armored fighting vehicle closer to the middle of the column got stuck, causing the approaching tanks behind it to concentrate in a very small area. Ukrainians opened devastating fire, and the Russian tanks started exploding one by one. As a result, the whole assault unit was demolished, and Russians lost at least 18 tanks and armored fighting vehicles, never leaving the settlement. Technically speaking, the area around the destroyed farm is within the administrative borders of Mykilske.
Nonetheless, Russian forces did not accept the defeat and started preparing the second assault unit for the same attack. Two days later, the Russians finally made a new attempt to penetrate the front line. Unfortunately for Russians, since the setting remained the same, Ukrainians once again detected Russians before they even passed Mykilske and started shelling Russians intensely. As a result, the Russian assault unit lost its combat capability, never getting to storm Ukrainian trenches and fortifications along the tree lines. Some Russian sources claimed that the Russian infantry continued the assault and managed to entrench in the tree lines around 100 or 200 meters from the settlement, what was previously considered a grey zone.
Virtually simultaneously, Russian forces opened the second vector of attack near Novomykhailivka. Here, Russian forces advanced along the gully, also in an attempt to get as close to the road as possible and cut off the Ukrainian bridgehead from the north. By advancing in the lowlands, Russians were leveraging the terrain to reduce the chance of being detected for as long as possible. This way, Russians managed to pass more than 1 km behind the front line. Still, the assault unit was detected by Ukrainian drone operators equipped with night vision. Interestingly, the artillery did not fire as quickly. Some analysts claimed that the drone operator knew that Russians were approaching a minefield and waited until they immobilized themselves. Very quickly, the first vehicle suffered an explosion on mine, and a few seconds later, the next one as well. Immediately after that, Ukrainian artillery started shelling the assault unit. As a result, it was completely demolished, and all four vehicles were left destroyed in the field.

Ukraine has opened a new frontline, Russian forces are being overwhelmed by the massive push being made by Ukrainian soldiers. There have been reports that Ukraine has been able to secure a major highway and may be moving in heavy equipment to help keep the push going.
Ukrainian forces are working towards flanking Oleshky and Nova Khakovka, which will open the area up to a rapid advance to Crimea. Russian forces are taking huge losses near Avdiivka, and are still making very little progress in moving forward.

Every time another week of the war – our defense, our active steps – comes to an end, it is important to say one thing: thank you.
Thank you to everyone who defends our country and gives Ukraine the opportunity to be truly Ukraine: itself, a vibrant and powerful country. It is important to thank everyone who fights for the sake of the state, everyone who helps fight and who champions Ukraine’s interests in the world. Everyone who trains our soldiers, who treats them, who develops our combat medicine and our military production, who provides our people with everything they need. We must always realize how many people are involved in the defense of Ukraine and Ukrainians. And each of these people is important, all of them together are the Ukrainian force. First of all, these are our warriors. Those who physically restrain the enemy, who destroy the occupier, who protect us from Russian missiles and drones.
And today I would like to especially recognize the units of our National Guard of Ukraine, which are fighting alongside all defense and security forces. Fighting vigorously, strongly, and effectively.
I thank you, warriors! The 3rd and 14th operational brigades of the National Guard, involved in the offensive in the south. The 12th brigade of the National Guard – the eastern direction. The guys are holding their ground and defending every meter of Ukrainian land. Thank you for your strength! Thank you for repelling the Russian assaults! The 4th operational brigade of the National Guard – fighting in the Bakhmut sector. I am especially grateful to the artillery and anti-aircraft gunners of the 4th brigade. Well done to you guys! And, of course, the Avdiivka sector: the National Guard’s special forces units are fighting heroically there alongside all our warriors. Thank you for your resilience, guys!
It’s also important to remember the warriors and units of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, who are fighting alongside everyone else as part of the defense forces on the frontline, as well as protecting our border and ensuring the safety of border traffic. They are not often talked about, but they are also doing a great job.
Donetsk region, Avdiivka sector – I thank the warriors of the Zhytomyr border guard detachment. Senior sergeants Nazar Siryi and Serhiy Solozhuk particularly distinguished themselves. Lyman sector – I thank the guys from the Izmail border guard detachment. And special thanks to Chief Sergeant Oleksandr Atmazhov and Senior Sergeant Yurii Panasenko. Thank you for your bravery! And the Dozor special forces unit, which performs missions in various areas. I thank all of you guys! I would also like to mention the border guards of the Sumy detachment – thank you for protecting us from saboteurs and for shooting down Russian drones!
We are almost halfway through November and we must be prepared for the possibility that the enemy may increase the number of drone or missile strikes against our infrastructure. Russia is preparing for winter. And in Ukraine, all our attention should be focused on defense, on response to terrorists, on everything Ukraine can do to make it easier for our people to get through this winter and to increase the capabilities of our troops.
I thank all our partners who have helped Ukraine with air defense. These are different countries: the United States, Germany, France, Britain, Norway, Italy, Romania, Sweden, the Netherlands, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Poland, the Baltic States and other countries. Patriot, NASAMS, IRIS-T, RAVEN, Hawk, and other systems. We can’t talk openly about everything now, but the Ukrainian sky shield is already more powerful compared to last year. It has greater capabilities, but unfortunately, it does not yet fully protect the entire territory. And we are working to make it even better. Every country, every leader who helps us bolster our air defense helps protect lives. And I urge all Ukrainians, all those whose voice is heard in the world, our journalists, all those who support Ukraine in the world, to help boost the defense. To help! We are capable of overcoming the most difficult challenges. But only together, in unity, when we take care of each other and when millions of people help their defenders and their country. It is imperative to be united and grateful.

Day 627 of the russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.
The adversary continues to ignore the laws and customs of warfare, using the terror tactics, launching missile and air strikes, and firing multiple launch rocket systems not only at the military, but also at numerous civilian targets across Ukraine.
During the day of November 11, there were 80 combat engagements. The enemy launched a total of 1 missile and 63 air strikes, 64 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements.
Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks have killed and wounded civilians. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed or damaged.
At night, the russian occupants launched yet another missile and air strike on Ukraine, using 2 Kh-59 guided missiles and 1 Iskander-M ballistic missile. Ukrainian air defense forces and means destroyed 1 X-59 guided missile. Information on the aftermath of this terrorist attack is currently being updated.
Air strikes hit Chuikivka (Sumy oblast), Kyslivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Kopanky, Petropavlivka (Kharkiv oblast), Serebryanske forestry, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Siversk, Spirne, Terny, Novobakhmutivka, Klishchiivka, Andriyivka, Novokalynove, Ocheretyne, Avdiyivka, Orlivka, Lastochkyne, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka, Urozhaine, Staromaiorske, Shakhtarske (Donetsk oblast), Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast), and Tyahynka (Kherson oblast).
More than 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolayiv oblasts came under artillery fire.
Pivnich operational-strategic group, VOLYN and PPLISSYA AXIS: no significant changes.
SIVERSHCHYNA and SLOBOZHANSHCHYNA AXIS : the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy troops conduct active subversive activities in order to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened axes. The adversary increases the density of minefields along the state border in Belgorod oblast (russia).
KHORTYTSIA operational-strategic group, KUPYANSK AXIS: the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Synkivka, Ivanivka (Kharkiv oblast), Stelmakhivka, and Nadiya (Luhansk oblast), where Ukrainian defenders repelled 7 attacks.
LYMAN AXIS: with the air support, the adversary conducted assault operations in the vicinity of Serebryanske forestry (Luhansk oblast), to no success.
BAKHMUT AXIS: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 adversary attacks in the vicinities of Khromove, Andriyivka, and Klishchiyivka (Donetsk oblast). In turn, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue assault operations south of Bakhmut, inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the enemy, and consolidate their new positions.
TAVRIA operational-strategic group, AVDIYIVKA AXIS: the enemy employs aircraft as it keeps trying to encircle Avdiyivka. The Ukrainian soldiers are standing their ground and inflicting major losses on the enemy. The adversary’s offensive actions were unsuccessful in the vicinities of settlements of Avdiyivka, Sjeverne, Tonenke, and Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast), where the Ukrainian Forces Forces repelled 18 attacks.
MARYINKA AXIS axis: with the air support, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinities of Maryinka and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). The Ukrainian soldiers repelled 22 enemy attacks in that area.
MARYINKA AXIS: with the air support, the occupiers conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva, and Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast). The Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 attacks in that area.
ZAPORIZHZHIA AXIS: with the air support, the enemy conducted assault operations near Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast), to no success.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation on Melitopol axis, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy all along the front line.
ODESA operational-strategic group, KHERSON AXIS: the Ukrainian soldiers conduct counter-battery fire and strike behind the enemy lines.
During the day of November 11, Ukrainian Air Force launched 10 air strikes on the concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment of the adversary.
The Ukrainian missile troops hit 2 artillery systems, 8 concentrations of troops, weapons, and military equipment, and 2 air defense systems of the adversary.

Ukrainian armed forces have launched a missile attack on the headquarters position of the Russian army and a warehouse of armored combat equipment in the occupied city of Kremennaya in Luhansk region. The footage taken by the Russian military has been spread on Telegram channels.
A two-story building exploded and collapsed as a result of the strike by the Himars rocket launcher system. The soldiers of the Russian army said they could not remove the corpses of at least 3 fellow soldiers from under the rubble. In addition, the military equipment in the warehouse exploded and burned.

Finland supports the transfer of Russia’s assets frozen abroad to Ukraine as financial aid for the latter.

QUOTE: “We act in favour of arresting frozen Russian assets and repurposing the income from these assets to support Ukraine. We need to find a legal solution for repurposing frozen assets jointly with partner states.”

Tavio also stated that Ukraine can count on Finland’s support in the future for eliminating disastrous consequences of the Russian aggression.
He revealed that Finland is going to participate in the process of the rebuilding of Ukraine and is creating a national rebuilding plan jointly with the private sector.
“The first part of the plan will be published by the end of this year. It will be focused on how the Finnish private sector can participate in the rebuilding of Ukraine. The second half will be prepared shortly after that. It will consider Finnish support for Ukraine in a broader context, including the cooperation aimed at development,” Tavio explained.
BACKGROUND:
Earlier, Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, reported that the EU is getting closer to the decision about a general legal mechanism for using frozen Russian assets in favour of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the EU’s intent to use billions of dollars of frozen Russian assets for the rebuilding of Ukraine faces obstacles due to the concern about the risks for financial markets.
