Iran is Islamic. But they’re Shi’ite. However, they support Hamas which is Sunni.

The majority in Iran and Turkey are “Turkic” people, which is a different race than Arabs. The ruling clerics in Iran are Turkic.

The Shia in Syria and Iraq are Turkic decent. Basically across the Middle East to the far north there are Turkic people.

The term Arab comes from a Hebrew bible term meaning mixed company or mixed people. Arabs are mixed race.

You could say that Arabs wherever they are are generally Sunni. You can’t say the opposite opposite, Turkey is a Turkic people that are Sunni. Kinda of an odd ball.
