Well, I’ll be! Just last week, an 87 y/o former Astronaut died, just like that! He too was relatively unknown by the general public. Makes you wonder if something’s going on! (sarc)

He was an exemplar of the America I got to come of age in. i remember the coverage of his flights like it was yesterday. truly amazing and inspiring for a young teen. all of a sudden, the moon was right there. RIP and well done Col. Borman. God’s speed.
