Myorkas is not operating as an “independent” agency. He is carrying out Biden’s orders, that’s all. If he were not carrying out Biden’s orders, Biden would remove him, which he can do without any consent from the Senate. Biden is obviously in charge and he is the one who should be impeached.
Impeaching Myorkas is just political theatre, solving nothing.
The only thing Congress can do against Myorkas is passing laws that force changes in what Biden is doing about the border. But with the Dim majority in the Senate that is not going to happen.
The House can act concerning the DHS budget and with policy strings in any House approved DHS spending amounts. But there again that too would have to get through the Senate, which is not likely.
We have to impeach Biden or vote him out of office to affect change at the Border. An impeachment process against Myorkas will be good political theater, and it may help the public see more about the issue, but not much else.
Mayorkas ought to be impeached for his smarmy attitude alone
Horse sh!t. The MSM has virtually spiked the open border story. Impeachment will break the MSM ban and get the horrific info about the border and illegal immigration invasion to the public. At minimum it does that. So go away loser.
I normally consider most of what you spout here fairly astute. But in this case you are backwards about which comes first, the Chicken or the Egg.
An impeachment trial of Myorkas in the Senate AFTER being impeached in the house is a great opportunity to expose the corruption all the way up to the top including the DOJ, Harris, and Biden.
It would be one hell of a “three for one” stepping stone of evidence from the bottom up instead of top down. At some point we need to take a first step to cross that creek one stepping stone at a time.
