Publicly and privately, on the stump and in closed-door pitches to prospective donors, Donald Trump’s rivals pressed the case for months that the former president was a bad bet to beat Joe Biden.
In the span of several days, that case unraveled. A small drumbeat of polling showing Trump's enduring strength has turned into a cacophony. And in the wake of polling from the New York Times and Siena College, which found Trump beating Biden in five battleground states — and a CBS News/YouGov poll that showed Trump leading Biden nationally — Republicans once skeptical of Trump’s viability in a general election are beginning to come around.
“Looks like I was wrong,” said Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), noting Trump’s current polling lead over Biden. “It’s still a long way off, but today it looks like he’s going to be the nominee.”
Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, who sought the Republican presidential nomination in 2012, said “Trump’s lead in the polls over Biden has eroded the key argument that Trump can’t win the general election.”
“Trump’s GOP opponents are unfortunately left with divinity or luck as their last best hope,” he continued, adding that it will take nothing short of an “existential development” to keep Trump from winning the nomination.

This has got to upset the hate Trump Republican party hacks.
ROTFLMAO at the claim that Nimrata performs better than Trump anywhere in the polls.
Nimrata or whatever her name is hasn’t been hit even once. Her polling is irrelevant. Has she cheated on her husband? Do they have an open marriage? Does she have a binder filled with women? Has she ever had a lesbian experience? Has she ever not paid taxes, has she ever donated to a Hamas affiliated group? No one knows anything about her. Tell me all the ways she’s not perfect first.
It appears to me that Trump is prevailing. The question is why. I offer the theory Trump has won through asymmetrical warfare. Interesting lesson. As I have said he is not my first choice in the primary this year. But I will vote for him as I think he did a great job as president. But he didn’t play by the usual rules and prevailed.
The general election will be interesting. He cannot pivot back to the usual. He will get slaughtered. I have hope he will win if he stays the course.
“‘Is the fat lady warming up?”

SHE IS NOT ELIGIBLE.
