Because I use Rib-eye, I cook it inside in a grill pan on the stove. Tried it once on the grill outside and it was TERRIBLE!
It's easy, you marinate the steak for at least 3 hours ( or over night ) in a marinade: whiskey, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire Sauce, Angostura bitters, a little Coleman's dry English mustard, a bit of olive oil, 1 or two 9 or more chopped shallots, and heaping amounts of light brown sugar. Add a bit of water, when heating the marinade for the sauce for the steaks.
My husband SMOKES all his steaks before searing on the grill or on the stove. It’s amazing. Maybe I can convince him to whip something up tonight!!! Yum yum!
