NBC News called the race for Kentucky Democrat incumbent Gov. Andy Beshear Tuesday evening, as did several other outlets.

CBS News projects Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, a Democrat, will win reelection and is performing better in counties Donald Trump won in 2020.
"When people ask the political question, 'Can a Democrat win in a red state?' This is the pattern for how you do it," @SalvantoCBS says. pic.twitter.com/R6DQmxicpn

I've seen enough: Andy Beshear (D) wins reelection in #KYGOV, defeating Daniel Cameron (R).

With 87 percent of the votes in, Beshear led Cameron by 5.2 percent — a difference of 63,565 votes. The results, predictably, triggered a wave of gloating from Democrats, particularly with the pro-abortion issue winning in Ohio as well. But the Never Trump crowd appeared to remain united in one thing: Hating the former president.
“Whoa. Why is the @RonDeSantis crew celebrating Daniel Cameron’s loss?! Daniel would have been the first Black Republican Governor since Reconstruction,” Richard Grenell said of the anti-Trump sentiments across social media.

“The Democrats win Kentucky easily as @realDonaldTrump delivers another big LOSS to the GOP. The culture of losing continues…” self-described Never Trumper Max Twain wrote, as pro-DeSantis influencer Chris Nelson triumphantly declared that “NOBODY ANYWHERE IN AMERICA WANTS TRUMP-BACKED CANDIDATES!”
Why didn’t their Ron DeSantis or Younkin or Nikki wazzername endorse this McConnell boy. Why wouldn’t they look at McConnell. He’s the senator of not only Kentucky but he’s the -as he wants it- minority leader
This was a RINO pick. Trump fever it a shot but there’s 30% voter turnout
This whole election was a ronna McDaniel loser.
The recrimination game is tiresome.
“Wow, Daniel Cameron of Kentucky has made a huge surge, now that they see my strong Endorsement, and the fact that he’s not really ;a McConnell guy,’” argued Trump on Saturday. “They only try to label him that because he comes from the Great State of Kentucky. Anyway, Go Daniel, great future for you and your State—You will bring it to new levels of success, and I will help you!”
Cameron previously worked in McConnell’s Senate office, but ran for governor as an acolyte of Trump. The last video posted on the Cameron campaign’s YouTube channel two weeks ago was an ad called “Endorsed.”
“I’m the only candidate endorsed by President Trump,” Cameron declared in the video, which also featured a clip of the two together at a rally.
Today:
“Daniel Cameron lost because he couldn’t alleviate the stench of Mitch McConnell. I told him early that’s a big burden to overcome,” declared Trump on Truth Social Wednesday morning. “McConnell and [Mitt] Romney are Kryptonite for Republican Candidates. I moved him up 25 Points, but the McConnell relationship was ‘too much to bear.’”
How original blame Trump for your own shortcomings
Hmm. Everyone down ticket won.
Makes me think. Seeks like an Establishment Republican and Democrat plot to discredit Trump.
Weren’t some of these same dynamics present in the Herschel Walker loss in Georgia?
Not the first time Trump picked a loser, won’t be the last either.
didnt republicans win AG and SOS by 20 points?
Cameron was a good pick seems like a nice guy the issue is that he got ZERO help..he got a total of ZERO dollars from the RNC..people in Kentucky hardly saw any ads for him so how were people supposed to vote for someone if there is no ads about him showing. Also, Beshear is VERY popular in the state, even with Republicans..if he’s doing a good job why would someone vote for someone else..he won before, his father was Governor, obviously he’s well liked..and for DeSantis people to run their trap seriously..what did THEY do to help Cameron win, did they have someone else better in mind or are they just gonna flap their gums
Not a heck of a lot of winners out there.
Trump has literally been sitting in court defending himself for the days leading up to trial.
Don’t blame Trump, blame dems who are politicizing the judicial system. But regardless of who you blame, Trump is a drag on the party.
Perhaps this abortion racket really does have the support of a majority of voters. Too bad Trump is the poster child against that stain on our culture. I guess if someone stands on right to life you will have difficulty. Doesn’t really matter if we believe a majority of people think that way- they certainly aren’t voting. If it is stealing - nothing has been done to fix that either; except maybe a few states. Still, the feds want to run elections and eventually they will. Ensuring results of elections won’t matter on who actually did or is legally allowed to vote.
The only poll that showed a huge change over time was Emerson College's; at the beginning of October, Beshear had a 16 point advantage in that poll. At the beginning of November, when Emerson College conducted another poll (right after Trump's public endorsement around the end of October), it had swung to 1 point advantage...for Cameron.
It's easy to interpret the loss as Trump's fault, but at least one piece of polling data does not support that conclusion.
Typical. Typical. My only surprise is that its taken hours instead of seconds for the usual suspects to craft their poison pens.
McConnell sucks. End of story.
What did the GOP, RNC, and all these stalwart individuals do to help Cameron? Atleast Trump tried to do his part. Dumba$$es are very energetic about trying to assign blame. Yet Ronna McDaniel still in charge of the RNC after presiding over a lot of losses. The same people are running the show after all these losses. Doing the same stupid thing over and over is not going to change the outlook for the GOP.
The Ky. Governor race appears to have taken a page out of the Chicago politics Handbook.
I don’t know from Hershel Walker. What I do know is voters like and/or love Trump. He represents them, brings them to the table where they belong under the tenets laid forth in the country’s founding
They do not like the RINO party, which hates their base, actively hates Trump and will blame Trump at the same time he is dragged into court under dictatorial bs charges and never defend him nor his family
If Trump wanted Kevin McCarthy in as leader and Ronna McDaniel in as leader of this fiasco only to illustrate how they are actually democrats allowing democrats to dominate elections and congress, then his work is well done
anybody seen Ronna McD? who added to her long list of losses - like we said she would. ???
I lived in western Kentucky for almost ten years in the eighties and voted in their elections. It appeared to me, at that time anyway, they went for democrats locally and Republicans nationally. In the county where I lived the registrations were more than 2-1 democrat.
