those sea lanes are patrolled EN MASSE by hundreds of assets (ships, radars, airplanes, satellites, etcetera) based right across the channel there in DJ (which is largely a foreign military parking lot with a dozen or more bases ... USA, France, UK, and many more).

And Iran attacks foreign ships in the Gulf whenever they please, because they know Trump is not around to make them pay.

Also don't discount the absolute corruption of the UN and NGOs in these matters...there is no question UNRWA, UNICEF, Doctors Without Borders, etc help shuttle in weapons as needed. The $$$ is flowing. I bet there are weapons, ammo, fuel, etc in those Gaza "humanitarian aid" trucks as well, despite Israel's best efforts to stop them.
