The Republican establishment model for winning elections is DEAD even in Kentucky.
As I understand, Trump made the last minute endorsement of Cameron on social-media because Cameron was trailing Bashier by such a large margin. The dye was already cast. Kentucky’s political election machine is a work of art.
For Trump supporters, losing the Virginia House of Delegates is terrible. TERRIBLE!!!
But, losing the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018 is no big deal because Trump.
Oh, before I forget, blaming the lose in Virginia on DeSantis, excuse me, DeSanctimonious, is rich. In 2018, DeSanctimonious took office with 73 Rs (out of 120) in the Florida House of Representatives. In 2020, that number increased to 78; and, in 2022, that number increased again, to 85.
Yes, the Ds raised more money than we did in Virginia. But, not by much in Senate races, $12.7 to 10.6 million, where we picked up a seat.
But the D’s raised nearly double what we did in House races, $14.2 to 8.4 million, where they picked up three seats.
So, maybe, money made the difference. But, that’s part of the game, isn’t it?
They’re right. Cameron lost because he hitched his wagon to Trump. It’s true. There is nothing unethical about the truth. Cheating on your wives is unethical. Lying about being 215 pound is unethical. Calling people stupid names on social media is dumb and unethical and most grown up humans would rather distance themselves from someone who is an educated adult that engages in name ugly calling.
If anyone in my line of work engaged in that behavior, they get fired or shunned lickety split. They always blame everybody else for their self inflicted woes and move on to a different place or line of work.

I haven't seen a single article questioning whether race played a part in people choosing the Democrat over the Republican in KY.
Trump endorsed Cameron last year in June and Cameron endorsed Trump for 2024 in January.
It's peculiar that the votes were clearly at the polls and ready to vote Republican down the ballot statewide but not for governor.
Just like Georgia is Republican statewide but somehow has two Democrat US Senators.
The Trump factor seems like a media distraction in the KY race but I didn't follow it closely.
We really do have to ask ourselves is the anti-Trump feeling among Republican voters so great that they'll vote against party just because of an endorsement and, if so, what would they do in 2024? Do they stay home?
I've always voted in presidential races but I will not vote for DeSantis if he's the nominee, even if I vote GOP down ballot. Same is true of Christie, but not everyone. I don't trust, Vivek but if he was the nominee I'd likely vote for him. Nikki too. If Trump's the nominee, even sitting in prison, he'll have my vote.
Trying to make political hay for Bootball out of this loss in VA and blaming Trump for it is a new low for Bootballers.
"Legalization" is a scam with horrible outcomes. But it gets votes.
Once again, since those supporting DeSantis are blaming President Trump for Cameron’s loss, where was DeSantis on the campaign trail trying to help a Fellow Republican become governor and pick up a Governor’s Seat from the Democrats???
I see that President Trump put in the hard work to try and help him win, but I don’t see much, if any effort, on the part of DeSantis!!
Does he want to pick up the GOP Leadership Mantle or not?
Is he truly in this to be Leader of the people or is he in this for himself?

That’s not it at all. If you believe that, you’re not paying attention. Younkin is a good case in point. Trump endorsed him for governor even as Younkin tried to keep him at arm’s distance, while also benefitting from the endorsement. Trump even endorsed DeSantis in DeSantis’s second gubernatorial election, while being perfectly aware that DeSantis would shortly announce he was running against him for the Republican nomination.
Your contention that Trump’s behavior is counter-productive for the Republican party is untrue. His behavior is counter-productive to establishment control of the Republican party. That’s a big difference. We’ve seen what Republican control meant, prior to Trump - a lot of promises and a lot of excuses as to why those promises weren’t kept.

As such, I have become very careful, even suspicious of RNC-endorsed candidates or propositions.
As for President Trump, we can only hope and pray that when he secures his re-election in 2024, he will this time work hard to root out as much of the embedded anti-American, anti- individual liberties/ Constitutional rights, anti-Christian, anti-Semitic and pro-globalist garbage that has infiltrated WashingtonDC’s many agencies and bureaus. Also, that he will actively work to abolish unconstitutional agencies like B of AT and F, DofEducation, DofHS, etcetera. And to scale back those agencies and departments which have exceeded any reasonable understanding of their mandates.
And yet DeSantis won his re-election in a massive landslide, flipping Florida crimson red while Trump was mocking him with childish nicknames.
