Former President Donald Trump is boasting a 26-point lead in the Iowa Republican caucus, a Trafalgar Group survey released Monday found.

The survey asked 1,084 likely GOP presidential caucus voters who they would support in the caucus if it were held tomorrow.

As has been consistent in survey after survey, Trump stands as the clear frontrunner, leading the pack of GOP hopefuls with 43.8 percent support. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis falls to a distant second, roughly 26 points behind with 17.5 percent support. Further, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley virtually ties DeSantis for second place, garnering 15.1 percent support — a 2.4 percent difference, which comes within the survey’s ± 2.9 percent margin of error.

South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott comes in fourth place with 8.6 percent support, followed by anti-woke businessman Vivek Ramaswamy and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who both garner 4.5 percent support each. North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum sees 4.1 percent support, and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson sees 0.3 percent support.

📊 2024 Iowa Republican Caucus

Trump 44% (-5)
DeSantis 18% (+2)
Haley 15% (+7)
Scott 9% (+2)
Ramaswamy 5% (-2)
Christie 5% (+3)
Burgum 4% (=)

The survey was taken November 3-5, 2023, and coincides with the latest Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom Iowa poll, which tells a similar story with Trump leading the pack by 27 points and DeSantis and Haley tying for second place in the Hawkeye State.

As Breitbart News reported:

The survey was taken October 22-26, 2023, prior to former Vice President Mike Pence dropping out of the race. Nevertheless, Trump leads the pack of Republican presidential primary hopefuls with 43 percent

You know that the article is reliable when the headline calls Iowa’s caucuses a “primary.”

You got confused by the announcement because there wasn’t a date....

That was for reynolds announcing she was endorsing desanctimonious....

There is another event somewhere else in Iowa for tuesday...

Though I’m sure nothing could have beat the excitement and crowd that showed up for ‘the most popular Iowa governor ever’ reynolds endorsing desanctus.

lol

whups... I take it back....

The event for tonight doesn’t show up anymore....

I guess they couldn’t contain all the excitement they had last night, and need time to recover....

Oh don't be obtuse.

In your haste to find something, anything to discredit the article because it points out something you don't want everyone else to see about the candidate you have been shamelessly shilling for, you are purposefully knit-picking the article.

Almost everyone realizes that the Caucauses function as a Primary.

Don't be so desparate!

A month ago an Iowa State University poll had Trump ahead by 38%. All six major polls in September had Trump up by more than 30%. With this poll, and a late October poll that had him up by 27%, it seems that the margin is narrowing.

Still under 50% in a lot of state polls. If the anti-Trumpers coalesce under Haley he’s in trouble. Lost in the hubbub of the Times poll that had Biden losing to Trump in 5 of 6 battlegrounds also had Haley beating Biden in all 6, by significantly larger margins.

No, those other polls were surveys of voters.

This was a survey of likely caucus goers, which would concentrate GOPe types. This is their highwater mark.

They can’t win. They can only hope for convictions, and if they then try to assert those convictions, they are done forever. It will be an intolerable betrayal, never to be forgotten.

Of course, beating Biden is not the goal.

Eradication of Swamp Filth is the goal. MAGA will never, ever gather around GOPe Swamp Filth. Not ever, under no circumstances.

The People decide, not self acclaimed “leaders”.

There are no “issues”. There is only eradication of Swamp. It is the only issue. $33T defines anything else meaningless.

Almost everyone realizes that the Caucauses function as a Primary.

A primary and caucuses are two different things. The fact is that Iowa doesn’t have a primary. Your name calling doesn’t change the facts.

44 percent will win you nothing. It’s actually means you have no path.
