I'm a bit confused. You seem to be forwarding a parallel regarding the importance of that 3% that doesn't really exist.

That 3% number during the revolution means approximately 97% of armed civilians did not fight for American independence. Further, your initial posts would (hypothetically) exclude Kibbutz members from the 97% because being armed would have been anathema.

Indeed, it is those armed, trained and willing few who make all of the difference. The 97% plus on the sidelines are not relevant, and that would certainly include communist Kibbutz members.
