A largely absurd article.
Russia has been maneuvering around that location for months. There in no new arranging of troops there. They were already on site.
Since the war in Donbas has been underway starting 2014, Ukraine has been arranging hyper hardened locales there. Mariopal, then Bakmuht, now Avdeevka. They require a long time to starve out the garrison.
This is not a new development.

We can agree on that. The Russian strategy is to encircle, and starve them out. I use Military Summary as my go to source as to the situation on the ground.
I also understand Wagner is active in this area, as they where in Bakhmut.
Everything is a new development to Putin Fanbois. They don't want their tenents corrupted by facts.

The Russian Army at Avdeyevka is using its traditional tactic of drowning its opponent in Russian blood, or rather its modern tactic of smothering its opponent in a deep layer of burning Russian tanks, AFVs and APCs.
