Before the Soviet Union finally collapsed, Gorbachev invaded the same Georgia, killing whoever he wanted. The Left always embraced Gorbachev because Gorbachev never denounced communism and tyranny. Just like there are generations in Europe who tend the cemeteries where Americans gave their last full measure, people in Poland still remember how they reached freedom. Yes, they rose up together, and with the help from outside threw off the evil yoke of communism.
