What is best for the child is compassion, sympathy and the best professional mental health care possible, centered on helping the child overcome the errant obsession commonly referred to as gender dysphoria. That is what is best for both the short term and the long term happiness in their life.

Humanity survived and thrived for thousands of years without this mutilation of children. I am sure humanity will continue without making this atrocity a "medically necessary procedure" for children.
When the kids have become adults and decide to chop up their pee-pee, and they have their own money to do so, they are very free to do so.
