I was thinking less along the lines of trials and prisons, and with the pessimistic view, more along the lines of torches and pitchforks.

Granted, a pessimistic view.

A majority is coming. Not that it will make any difference.

I think that is true. I read yesterday that we are currently paying, every year, nearly $700 Billion in interest alone on our debt.

$700 Billion.

That is unsustainable, because not only is it going up and getting compounded (I would think) and not being reduced in any way, but countries have been bailing on using the dollar for their reserve currency.

Can’t say I blame them for shifting to a different currency as their reserve, but this is going to be a watershed change that we hear few people talking about, and the ramifications are huge.

I view people like this, who have done the damage, as seeing the writing on the wall and don’t want to be sitting behind a desk when the bill comes due, and the devil arrives to get payment.

Oregon. One leftist kook who is old will be replaced, unless God intervenes, with a leftist kook who is young.

Generic ballot polling is mostly a lagging indicator. Incumbent retirements and the pace and quality of candidate recruitment tells how insiders with skin in the game read the next election. For the Dems, the signs are not good, with the GOP House caucus picking an excellent Speaker and many Democratic and Biden policies exposed as shambolic failures. And who wants to be on a party ballot headed by a shuffling, senile crook?
