“They’re trying to put up their ‘steal’ curtain around Colorado,” Jason Miller, a senior adviser with the Trump campaign, said ahead of the trial’s start. “And when I say ‘steal’ curtain, that’s S-T-E-A-L. Democrats are trying to steal this race.”
According to the Denver Post, both Donald Trump’s legal team and the plaintiffs in the case have characterized the trial as a battle for Democracy “whether by allowing Trump to run again for the country’s highest office or, in the defense’s view, by endorsing a political charade that would rob many voters of their favored candidate”:
A group of Colorado Republican and unaffiliated voters, backed by the liberal watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, filed the challenge in Denver District Court. Their lawsuit seeks, based on Trump’s alleged role on Jan. 6, to keep him off the ballot under a provision of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution that bars people who engaged in insurrection or rebellion from holding office.
Plaintiffs called several witnesses from January 6, including police officers, who testified to some of the violence they experienced at the hands of the rioters that day.
“(Protestors) told us we were on the wrong side of history when we were defending the United States Capitol and the peaceful transfer of power,” said Officer Daniel Hodges of the Washington, DC, Metropolitan Police Department.
Trump’s legal team noted that the president repeatedly called for peace that day and that he did not lead the rioters into the Capitol that day. On the charges of insurrection, Scott Gessler, a former Colorado secretary of state on team Trump, cited Eugene v. Debs,

The good news is that they are trying it in the primary where it will have NO, ZERO effect. Gives time to appeal it up the ladder and put a stop to it by the main election !!!
CO is a blue state. I doubt Trump would win it even if he is on the ballot.
The significance is it’s easier to get this done in a blue state and once that happens, it will set a precedent for other states.
Let’s say Colorado kicks Trump off the ballot, can those in other States then file suit in Federal courts against Colorado’s action? After all it is the Presidential election and Colorado’s actions are a form of election interference...
Populations are basically split 50/50 left/right.
"Blue states" can be defined as states that have perfected cheating .
I know for a fact there is mass voter/election fraud and CO is getting good at it
Once we get all mail in the cheating will be totally undetectable
CO election board would have blocked Biebert if she wasnt a fake conservative mole filling a seat for the leftists
Time for Red states to get off there duffs and start banning Biden from the ballots. He’s flooding Texas with illegal invaders, so he doesn’t deserve to be on the ballot. He has not lived up to his constitutional duties, we can impeach him by removing his name from the state ballots.
Precedence would be the problem for Trump.
Again, the plan is for campaign funds and people’s time and energy to be spent on defending Trump in courts and especially to have a fight to get on the election ballot in all 50 states one by one including appeals and higher courts.

According to the mail in ballot fraud it is. According to my acquaintances and experience, maybe not.
The article italicizes Eugene V. Debs as if he were a legal case. That was the man’s name.
Plus, the better Trump does in the primaries, the more difficult it will be to jail him or otherwise remove him from the ballot.
If he’s the presumed Republican nominee, that mean he’s the preferred choice of Republican rank and file - they won’t like being told by Democrats who they can and cannot vote for.
Don’t care, voting Trump, as much and as often as I can.
The outcome of this was decided long ago. Colorado will rule that Trump can’t be on the ballot. This trial is just drama to set the stage for other states to follow suit.
SCOTUS will rule that the states determine how their elections are run. That is in the constitution. They are loathe to interfere.
I am not saying I agree with that..but we wanted constructionist justices…

Colorado is a true purple State with enough stolen votes to make it blue.
