Don’t get me wrong, ~$50 billion is still a nice chunk of change, but, exaggerating does not help the argument when accurate numbers are not that hard to find.
$50 billion over 2 years is actually pretty weak support for a war this size... OTOH, Trump’s policy of not looking weak in the 1st place and thereby deterring Pooty would have been vastly preferable.
