Those who could do something about it either ignored the reports or did not want to hear about them! Even Egypt told Israel that a huge assault on them was in the works. Keeping all that in mind don't tell me that the Mossad and CIA didn't know this thing was in the works and some experts said:

Doesn't mean they were attacking. In fact, they did it so often, we got tired of it, and just ignored it. That was our bad, because you never know, but that what the Israelis were lulled into. They did these fake attacks every day just on their side of the fence.
The Egyptians warned the Israelis a big attack was coming. The Israelis wrongly thought that would be a massive missile/rocket barrage, and were preparing for that. They were not prepared for a human suicide wave attack. They SHOULD have, we can all agree, but that they knew exactly how Hamas would come is conspiracy theory when the simple answer is Hamas, with lots of planning from Iran, made a very bold move. They're not stupid, and their religious Jihadi fervor make them unafraid of death. A bad combination the Israelis should have been better prepared for no doubt.
